Access for every reader

Accessibility statement

Anyone should be able to read a page on this Baton Rouge lawn care website and reach us by phone.

The standard we aim for

We aim for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at level AA. That standard is a public document from the W3C, and it spells out how a webpage should behave for a reader working with a screen reader, a keyboard alone, a magnifier, captions or the reduced motion setting on their device. We do not claim we meet every part of it on every page today.

What we have already done

The site was built with these guidelines in mind from the first page out.

  • Pages use proper HTML headings, lists, buttons and links in reading order, rather than styled divs standing in for them.
  • Every page can be worked through with a keyboard alone. Focus is visible on the item you are on, and the tab order matches the reading order.
  • Body text sits on backgrounds chosen to hold the contrast ratio at or above the WCAG 2.2 AA thresholds, in both the light and dark theme.
  • Meaningful pictures carry a short text description in the alt attribute. Purely decorative shapes and background patterns are marked so a screen reader skips them without a word.
  • Motion is kept small, and each page honors the reduced motion setting on your device. With that setting turned on, animations stop.
  • The phone number appears as plain text on every page so a screen reader reads it as digits, and on a phone it also works as a tap-to-call link.

What we know still needs work

None known as of October 6, 2026. When you find something we have missed, call (225) 535-8165 and tell us; it goes on this list until the fix ships.

How to report a problem

Call (225) 535-8165. Say the page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what got in the way. If a screen reader, a magnifier or another assistive tool was in play, it helps to name the tool as well. Any detail you share is written down for the fix.

What happens with a report

Reports are read as they come in and go on the known-issues list above until the fix ships.
